Just wondering if you posted on any Miata forums websites asking the same question. If the answer is no, you obviously want the Mustang.

Must it be a vert? You might find a hardtop more affordable. And yes, I have an '88 5.0 vert, and I never thought it could be beat for driving experience, but lately I found out that most of the time I'd rather drive my '06 hardtop than my vert.

BTW, about 15 years ago, a company called Monster Motors was making a 'Monster' Miata, which consisted of a Miata with a 5.0 driveline installed. Don't know if they are still in business or what one would cost, but I actually considered one back then.

So you went upside down on your '06 GT to get the Miata in the 1st place? My friend, you are not the king of smart automotive buying decisions, so why ask why now? Sheesh!

One more thing to consider. If you buy the GT vert, you'll have to also buy an entirely new wardrobe. Because you can't wear pastel chiffons and gold leme boas with plaid pork pie hats when you drive a Mustang. Those Miata clothes will have to go!

Unless you want a good autocross and road course car right off the bat, go with the miata... as most people underestimate how damn good those things are on a track

Just bought an 06 GT convertible last week and absolutely love the car. My wife had a 2000 Miata for about 4 years and it was a very nice car, had some pep, handled great, but in no way did it compare to the GT we just bought.
If money is the sole factor it can be hard to go back into debt for a vehicle, but if you can live without some things for a little bit until the Mustang is paid for, I say there is no choice, Mustang all the way.
