Well today i got my first ticket, 52 in a 35....

I was on a skinny road surrounded by school buses and i was late for class AND i had diarrhea lol so i was going to pass the buses and a cop hiding jumps out onto the road and tells me to stop, writes me up for a ticket for 2 points and $80.......


Do you guys think i could fight this and win? i mean really i wasn't trying to speed lol i was just passing the buses and i didnt want to go by the bus slow due to blindspots and all that stuff.... what do you all think?

 

nope your screwed. speeding near buses and kids is always a lose. Its not safe =)

 

What state are you in? In NC you just have to know the right attorney and it will "go away"

Welcome to the wonderful world of driving. Fight it? On what grounds? 52 in a 35 in my state would be a $170 ticket plus $40 in court fees and 4 points. You got off easy. 52 in a 35 also means it was radar or laser.

"I didn't want to go by the bus slow because of blind spots"??? Translated to a judge it means "I couldn't see worth a damn so I chose to drive faster."

Pay the ticket and put off your new gears for a while.

 

Ok but heres the thing, the job i was just appling for said its better for me to have a clean record, thats my only problem... =/

Maybe i worded it wrong, i didnt want to slowly pass the bus because they have have a harder time seeing whats around THEM and i didn't want to stay in the blindspot so i accelereted out, do you understand what i'm saying now? maybe 52 in a 35 was a bit much but i'm a bit impatient, also keep in mind this is a triple lan curvey road, so those buses are ****ing wobbling around me weavign all around, so when we hit the straight before more turns i got infront of them, well i tried to... Damn radar.


What do you guys think if i try to say something like this:

"There were alot of buses around me and me being a new driver i was getting nervous being around those large vehicles seeing as they were having a hard time staying in the lanes around the turns, wiggling all around, so i decided to speed up a bit and pass them and by speeding up quick enough to stay out of their blindspot, which is where the radar got me for speeding."

How does that sound? lol

 

The judge has heard it all before. What job are you applying for? This ticket won't show on your "clean record" for a while. Is it some type of pizza delivery job or something when they do a DMV check on you?

 

No sir, my friends getting me a job at a chevy dealership and if that doesnt work my other friend said they have room over a dodge dealership for me, he said the only the only requirements were a clean record... lol
