The best wiper blades out are without a doubt the Silblades. I have used so many blades over the years it really is stupid and the Silblade is the only blade that will last longer than 6 months.

As for cleaning the windshield try this. Get some Denatured Alcohol and put it in a spray bottle. Then mist a small area at a time and use a razor blade to clean the windshield of all contaminants then wipe off. Do the entire windshield then take a clay bar to it and the detail spray/lube that comes with the clay bar. Then after that has all been done use some Stoners Invisible Glass or the Meg's NXT Glass Cleaner. I would suggest Microfiber towles for all these procedures. Then install your Silblades and enjoy them.

I was starting to get water spots and used the clay bar on my windshield the last time I did a wash / clay bar / wax.

I swear the glass now looks factory new... it's worth a shot.

Damn Bl1nk......I hate when I drive through Ocoee and get those nuclear fallout deposits all over my windows too..... I swear it blows over my way every once and a while too..lol....

I get those all the time from the salt air and hard water, and every other chemical known which are for some reason only attracted to my mustang. I went and bought commercial glass cleaner, in an aerosaul (sp?) can. It works really well especially if you put some elbow grease into it.

As for the wiper blades, mine acutally seem to work fine, surprisingly enough....lol
