Big problem?
I just noticed that (cant remember exactly) about 3, if not all of my callipers have deep grooved scratches on them, like the inside of the rims are touching as i drive. Anyone know why this is? or experience anything similar? Im all stock. I DID just have jiffy lube rotate my tires.. they rotated them front to back (not across? i dunno if this is of any importance or not.) I saw the guy rotating the tires, i was watching, everything seemed okay... any help would be hot. Ive got a date with the dealer monday, should i tell em theyve been rotated?
Are your calipers painted? If so, are do they look scratched after you painted them? Reason I ask is because when I removed the rear wheels to paint my stock caliper, I noticed some deep grooves on them...as if someone used a wide file and filed a portion off. Both rear ones looked the same. However, I painted the calipers and they still are painted, so I figured it was someting done at the factory or that's just the way they were. Have you heard any grinding? Although it would be strange that the rims would be touching the calipers without any major damage to rims and calipers. [sm=interesting.gif]
