Default New Mustangs "learn" your driving style Myth?

I have read several post referring to the new Mustangs somehow being able to learn or adjust to your driving style. This would mean that if you bought it new and took it easy for a while, the Mustang would not perform as if you had "driven it like you stole it" from the start. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, is there a way (without a tune) to adjust or reset as you change your driving style to make it perform better?

Thanks

I've heard the computer adjusts the throttle body according to the driver to some extent. Another thing that I have noticed is when I first bought the car and had a full tank, it would only be about 275mi to empty, now it's more like 310mi to a tank (I've never even come close with my heavy foot). The computer must take it quite a bit of data.

I thought it was cool when I learned the Mustangs ECU learns just like our Honda motorcycle does. Only bad thing as we found out with our bike, disconnecting the battery will cause it to reset and have to relearn and it causes your gas milage to drop until it has put some miles on again to get back up to the good gas milage. On our bike we saw as much as 10 mpg drop when the battery was disconnected to add an alarm. Took aprx 1,000 miles later for it to get back up to the better mpg. I wondered how does the ECU account for two different drivers methods in the Mustang?

The 05 Owners Manual says that it will learn shift points and optimize the drive for the driver. I'm not sure how much of that is affected by how you drive, but I've been more than tempted to disconnect my battery cable for 5 minutes and let it reset the points (says this in the owners guide).

Maybe I will do it tonite. I drive about 45-50mph to work everyday and I would like to optimize it for daily driving rather than race car driving.

Practically any car with an ECU from the 90's up to today adjust fuel air and timing based on how the car is driven. That's just how they work and are also able to compensate for changes in weather.

I guess... - Does this affect performance? i.e., if you drive aggressively from the start will it adjust any performance parameters to that style? or if you drive aggressively from the start are there any advantages to that? Thanks for any feedback!
