The manuel is worth it IMO. Good things come to those who wait. Look around, be willing to drive a little distance and be patient, you will find it.

The auto is not as slow as it seems. The side-by-side races between the auto and m/t are usually too close to tell. Most people cannot shift the manual nearly fast enough to have a real world advantage. I've raced my brothers 2006 Roush Stage 1 and it's neck and neck. He launches harder because he can drop the clutch.....but my auto catches up during the 2-3 shift. With a tuner you can clean-up the shift points on the auto to make it even better.

The truth is, the manual is fun......but for pure speed the auto is far more consistent. No human on the planet can shift the m/t as fast as the auto can with a tune......and every human misses a gear once a while.
