I'm more confused by the stick-on crap. Do-nothing fake hood and side scoops were the lamest "feature" of the 2004 models, IMO.

It doesn't have to be functional to add Style, as long as it's not overdone. If you go to the point of making it look like a rice burner it's way overdone. To me the biggest change you can make to a car is a different set of wheels.

I was just sort of trying to say, to each his own, myself I don't go for spoilers or scoops that don't do anything.

IMO, "My Color" is a total waste of money.
I'd never order it. I only have it because it came with my car ( at my expense ). [:'(]

1) I want to paint my mirrors cause it will give the car one uniform color and look better
2) I live up in Canada, sunny 2-3 months of the year, I tinted my windows for privacy, anti-theft, glare (most trucks headlight seem to be the same heigth as our mirrors)
3) As someone with different headlights, I liked the OEM ones as well, but the Gen 1 lights fit my personal style better.

I think because of the relative affordability of the Mustang, that customizing goes hand in hand with our cars. Like stated numerous times on this thread, a matter of taste(or lack there of in some cases IMO). I think everyone, regardless of vehicle owned, wants to "personalize" their car, whether it be simple mods such as tinted windows to a full on body kit/wheels/custom paint.....the mods mentioned are pretty normal(except the headlight change)......yes, it would be nice if Ford made color-keyed/fold-able mirrors. I'm still debating on whether to tint the windows(my black '05 GT had tint) on my '06 GT....I've had tint on every car owned for the last 15 years, I must admit, I don't miss it as much as I thought....but I am worried about interior fade(I have the charcoal interior now)......gonna probably get the mole strip stuff before I tint car this time(ugly scatches on '05). I think the factory scoops and spoilers are in good taste...not as bad as some aftermarket stuff I've seen. Although I do wish functionality was a priority when Ford or the aftermarket designs such parts. JMO

DISCLAIMER: I don't intend to disrespect anyone or any car with this post. I just want to read the discussion.

1) Side view mirrors painted to match car. They look OK painted, but they look OK black too. The mirrors are the last thing I notice about a car. Is it really worth the $ and trouble?

2) Tinted windows. If you live in Arizona or Florida, I can see the need. I like to be seen driving my car. They look OK, but are they really worth the hassle with the law?

3) Headlight changes of any kind. Seriously, and this is not even debatable, the OEM headlights are one of the best looking features about these cars. Why would you mess with that?

Is the sun any less punishing in Chicago in July when it's over 100 heat index than it is in Florida or Arizona?

I'd personally like headlights like the Foose Mustang, and will have my mirrors painted to match.

To each their own.

+1

Some people just don't understand that styling and options are a personal choice.

These people are intent on ruining this board as well. I myself am just about ready to go elsewhere...

I have a lot of these folks on ignore (like the one that started this thread), because it is becoming more difficult to find interesting technical stuff on this board as it is bull$hit like this.
