Default Brake fluid leak '07 - not where you think

Noticed a small puddle under the driver's side front. Upon investigation - touch, smell, & damage - it was obviously brake fluid. [sm=smiley21.gif]

Just got back from droping the car off. My'07 with 711 miles already getting serviced. What the hell FORD? It maybe just the o-rings, but will need some paint work. It is not leaking from the cap like all the posts I've seen. I got an 07 F150 to drive until they fix it (nothing like the pony). None of the service guys were actually there, so I'll see what they say when they call. I swear, I can't have anythng nice. [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]The more attention and care I give to something the more **** I end up dealing with. Oh well, as long as they cover under the waranty I'll live.

What I would due.. <-- key wording..!!!

tighten them up with a flare nut wrench ( if you have one ..?? ) if not let FORD DO IT...!!!

put baby powder on there to see if it still leaks..

BTW: you do know that is your anti lock brakes right..???

Rex

P.S. I know full will what you mean about having something nice.. only to find out they ( Ford ) sold you a car that is a piece of Schlitz compared to a 2005 Honda Civic my ex wife has.. no rattles.. no leaks.. everything fits great.. cost less.. etc. etc....

but I still love my Stang.. so what do you do..?? lol

+1, big time!
I got the GT that has had more probs than most of the 2005's here put together! Rattles that were fixed have returned, leaking brake fluid (they replaced the cap), peeling side stripes (torn them off for now), gas tank prob, Shaker 500 that skips, loose radiator cover, stains on passenger side window sill after it was in the shop, sticking trunk latch, broken head off fender bolt (my fault), hit by a hit and run driver in the back fender and corner ($1000 deductible and a so-so paint job)... what else? Oh, yeah, almost forgot- A NEW FREAKIN' ENGINE after only 3500 miles!
I should have demanded they buy my GT back after it spent 6 weeks in the dealership but I have this problem-
I love the way it looks! I love the power! It was so hard to find and is still somewhat difficult to get the right new GT.
Even if they had given me all my money back what else could I have bought? A used 350Z? A used RX8? A downpayment on an Audi A4 turbo?
No thanks! I'm sticking with my GT until I either get a deal on a new white Shelby GT or the Bullitt, whenever it comes out!

Just want to thank all the kind folks out here who have kept up my interest in the model. By showing me what you've done to your Mustangs I get inspired to mod mine too! While I do miss all the accessories and quiet ride of the $30,000 imports I just don't like the idea of riding in a car that anybody could own. One with no individuality. I guess that's why the Mustang is so popular. As long as there are boards like this to let us know where to buy all the goodies, we're happy!

Later,
Orion

There are no O-rings in the abs module and since I disconnected my lines and reconnected them without any sealer or tap around the thread of any kind, I'd guess yours are loose. Mine didn't leak by the way.

Correction, there aren't any o-rings in the brake line ports.
