No. Maybe it's California, but there is a little bit of tint in the factory glass. You can check by pulling alongside a white wall and lowering your window 1/2 way. Is there a difference in the color of the white wall?
It would be interesting if Ford only gave factory tint to cars headed for the Sunbelt...

If you look at the Ford literature there is no option code for window tint.

Blinkage...do yourself a favor, drive 65 miles west to I-75, take I-4 south to exit 257, Take a right off the ramp, go to 301 and 60...Brandon Ford, they will fix it...it is a FORD problem...I did not buy my car there and they fixed it without hassle....

I hear the felt is a MUST. I had mine tinted (without the felt... the tint installer said it wouldnt scratch and he had never heard of felt). I didnt roll the windows down until 5 days after (just like they say, so that the tint has time to settle). First time I rolled it down, and then back up.. HUGE gash in the drivers side tint. That was... about 4 months ago and I now have approximately.. 20 or so perfectly vertical scratches, rouchly 9 inches long, some larger than others, on both windows. I took it to the dealer and told them the inside of the door was scatching my tint and windows, they said they cant do anything because the tint is aftermarket and not installed by them. Im pretty sure that I have cuts in the glass now as well, not just scratches in the tint, but they wouldnt fix it because of the tint. So when my next dealer visit rolls around Im peeling the tint off the windows and getting them to fix the scratches in the glass under warranty. Then installing the moleskin and retinting.
I havent heard anyone who got the moleskin complain so if I were you, Id just do that first just in case!
