Default broke my driver side mirror

was backing out of the garage today and ripped this off my car. It cracked the black piece that goes from the car to inside the mirror assembly and bent the outer assembly itself also. mirror is fine just the plastic outside is all messed up so i need to replace this since parts cracked connecting it to the parts on the car itself. anyone know a cheap place to get this and/or if i can find this online through ford directly? i'm debating bringing this to ford directly tomorrow or going to a body shop and wanted some input. i need to get it fixed tomorrow because it's hanging and i can't find a way to remove the thing from the car so it doesn't rub on the paint as it hangs. thanks.

Sounds like you just need a new mirror (all one unit, sounds like nothing on the car is broken) remove plastic cover inside; (3) 10mm nuts, make sure you put cloth in opening below, so the nuts don't accidentally fall inside the door. This is simple, then get new mirror and put back. (Plastic cover comes off by sqeezing it with your hand while prying gently under and around it with wide screwdriver or a 1" firm putty knife.)
