So far this is what I have heard from the 800#:
Receipt: 11/11
Serialized: 11/16
"Scheduled to be built the week of 12/4" <-- is this the week I should expect my Mustang to be "Produced"?

You'll be built that week sometime. You can call the middle of that week and most likely you will hear "You are locked in for production on..." Then they will give you an ETA to the dealer. See if you can get your VIN from the dealer and post it in the Blueovalnews.com employee forums that week. Someone there will give you the details like I posted earlier.

I have heard the 18" polished wheels are in short supply. See if you can get an order number and dealer number and then you can call and check the status yourself.

I ordered back in august and still no update........the dealer says because i ordered the 18in rims it is taking this long.
there reason because they told me there is a supply problem with the 18in rims. can anyone confirm this or is this just some dealer bs story?

Is there an easy way to check the status of your build. I put in my order for a 07' last week. Is there a number to call Ford or do I just call my dealer? Do you need some kind of order # or customer order #?

I've tired calling the 800# for the past day (late Saturday evening/Sunday morning), gave the dealer/year/model/order # .. and this time instead of an update, it just said "we are unable to process an automated auto status request" and then tried to transfer me to an analyst ... is the system down?? Or did I **** off the robot lady from calling too many times?!
