Just adding my2 cents:
Different modules in the car shut down at different times, and it can take up to 20 minutes for the car to go fully "asleep." Make sure the key is removed, and that all doors are closed before trying to measure. As a general rule, full shutdown, key-off load should be about 0.03 amps, at a maximum.
O.E. Ford batteries are in fact very good. In fact, 2 companiessupply about 99% of the O.E. batteries to every manufacture's vehicleassemblies facilities in North America, and these companies also manufacture most of the aftermarket batteries as well. (of course, there are a few exceptions to this, and this only applies to regular lead-acid batteries, and not sprial (Optima) -type batteries)
Also, after your battery isseverely discharged, even only one time, the capacity of the battery will be limited from that point forward, never to return. Multiplesevere discharges are eventougher on the battery.

Woohoo, back from the dead! (Pun intended)

Battery went dead after sitting for 4 days. This is the second time. Thought it was related to getting the UDPs as right after installing them and not driving the car for 9 days it was dead.

Anyways, dug up this tread last night and remembered I always have the radio on or a CD playing when I turn the car off. Never sat in the car long enough to see if the skipper 500 has a freak out with the CDs.

Hooked up the cables and jumped the car, started right up. Let her warm up and took her for a spin. This time before turing the car off, I turned the radio off as well as the fan from the HVAC. Hopefully it will start tomorrow.

Is it worth getting the battery tested at the dealership? I have UDPs, are they going to say that is the reason and not help me out by covering a bad battery or bad radio components?

Just went and tried to start mine - battery is completely dead. Have the Shaker500, and it was left on when I shut the car down for the winter.

Battery charger is on it right now - we'll get it fully charged, then turn off the radio next time.

If you just want the battery tested take it to Autozone. It's free and takes all of five minutes to do, no hassle. Underdrive pulleys should not cause battery drain. They affect alternator speed but they change nothing that would cause a leak in the battery.
