Default Question about stock fuel door...

The other day when I was at the gas station I looked at my fuel door and it wasn't flush with the side of my car, I had never noticed it before so I opened it and looked at it real close and it looks like there was supposed to be some kinda rubber bump stop inside the door. I was just wondering if there is supposed to be something in there to hold it flush cause mine might have been stolen, who steals stuff like that anyway??? Did I just never notice it before or am I on to something? I'll have to post a pic when I get home from work.

Yep, there are little rubber bumpers inside the fuel door. Did you just wash your car? I knock em off during drying the car all the time....

I haven't washed my car myself in about 2 weeks now because of time and crappy weather but I did take it to a car wash early last week and I watched them clean my car and never saw them open the fuel door. I guess it's off to the dealership to get new ones.

The place I go to is awsome, complete hand wash for $13, and they use fresh towels for every car, I couldn't believe how nice of a job they do for that price.

Haha, I lost one too! Figured it was from me drying the car.
If you get that part #, toss it up on the post.

You have strangers wash your car? ...at a car wash no less? I wouldn't worry about the rubber bumpers I'd be very concerned about your clearcoat and the swirls, marring that is pretty much a gurantee doing that. I suppose if you have no alternative....

I don't trust anyone with washing my car. My dad showed me how to use the chamois and I haven't let him touch my car since then. He didn't do anything wrong, I just don't want anyone touching it.
