Just wondering.. dont mean to jack the thread but its kind of relevant.. can one do FI and N2O?

Yes but the shot has to be lower such as a 25 or 50 shot because the gains will be more when running nitrous and f/i.
So youre saying that if youre runnin a SC or turbo, you hit a 50 shot, youll actually get -more- than 50 hp out of it?

In theory i think a 25 shot will act more like a 50-65 shot

there is a nice post http://www.v6power.net/vb/showthread.php?t=28213

Ryygen pointed that post out to me there should be one in the 4.0 drivetrain section somewhere too

Nitrous is far and away the best bang for the buck when it comes to performance increases. Unfortunately, when something goes wrong using Nitrous, the results are usually quite severe. There are things you can do to mimize potential problems:

1. fuel pressure cut off switch
2. RPM window switch
3. WOT switch
4. Bottle warmer
5. Running a smaller shot

The biggest problem is that more power is only a jet away and people get greedy!

Nitrous containers also cannot be in the vehicle on a public street in some areas as it is a compressed gas (requires special transportation).

One of the vendors we deal with has a new kit that uses CO2 in a nitrous like delivery system but instead of being injected into the motor, it cools the intake charge. Every 10 F drop in intake temp on NA is 1 % increase in power and 2 % on forced induction applications. Not nearly the same power gain as NOS but very low risk and CO2 is cheap and safe.
Who makes the C02 system? links?

If your gonna do Nitrous then your gonna need......

- Tires
- CAI/TUNE
- Nitrous Kit (Zex $534.00 through Brenspeed Shipped)
- HTO Spark Plugs
- Fuel Pressure, Nitrous, and A/F Gauges.......Thats what I wanna do but do atleast the Nitrous Pressure.
- TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extras...

I would go ahead and do FULL exhaust...I like Kooks. Then I'd go ahead and get some UDP's and a H2o Pump, o yeah Charge Motion Plates but make sure they are tapped for Nitrous. Now they also have the remote bottle opener ($200) and TCS Switch($230). But I know that I want to go the NITROUS route now, and I've talked to many different people about it. I'm gonna go with a 125 Shot, but I'm not gonna get the juice until I have my exhaust, gears, UDP's, CMPV'S and H2o Pump. But please don't forget GAUGES, AND PLUGS.....Just some Insurance....

Ok, why do you NEED all that stuff. You don't need a water pump, and being tapped for ntirous on the cmpv doesnt' mean jack unless your running a direct port kit and that is not what ZEX is. More to come later on this at break time since I just got to work

Hey man, I did not say that you NEED all that stuff. Notice I put "Extras.....", and thats just my opinion on what I sorta want done to mine before I go with Nitrous. I sorta just want to have all the basic bolt ons before going with the juice, but to me what I listed as "If your gonna do Nitrous then your gonna need...... ", is stuff that you really do need. Imo I know that I'm not an expert on this, thoughI have done quite a bit of research on the matter, and this is what I personally have concluded. But when it comes down to it, all you really NEED is the Nitrous Kit of your choice. But see how far that gets you.......Thanks

Not trying to be an *** here. But theres a different between doing some research and actually having experience. Theres a couple things you need and some things that are good to have.

Need:
Of course the nitrous kit.
Colder plugs
Nitrous pressure gauge
tune depending on the shot. (Falls under both catergories)
Window switch 100% w/ a manual transmission
Fuel Pump depending on shot used

Good to have:
Gauges
Tune
Blow down tube
heater
Drag Radials
Fuel Pump depending on shot used

Now, back to your post. If you are using the Zex kit, why do you need the holes drilled in the CMDP's? The zex kit is not a direct port. 2nd, why do you need a water pump? And if your talking about an electrci one. I would not recommend that on a DD. Whats a TCS switch that cost $230?

And for the other posters. The only thing a C02 kit is used for is to make it look like you have a nitrous purge. And a wet kit sends both nitrous and fuel ino the intake. A dry kit relys on the car to add fuel. Sorry for the bad spelling on some of the stuff, at work tryign to type fast. Lunchs over
