Yeah, weird. I'm not aware of a musty smell problem, just the fogging one. Haven't had mine in the rain and car is in dry garage. ...still smells new; not sure what it would be like if daily driven. You mentioned Scothguard, you have cloth seats? ...might be something with those?

I believe the term for this problem is called human fog. My stang does this too, but usually only when I have passengers. It goes away when you have the vent on or when you crack open the door windows if it gets extreme use the defroster with the A/C button on. I live in Colorado where the humidity is very low I can only imagine what it's like in high humidity areas. These cars are pretty air tight and don't flow air as well as some.

I put a towel down last night near the passenger kick panel, and I'll check today whether it's wet at all. I'm going with Human Fog at this point, as this isn't the first time I've fogged up a car on my own, I just expected better venting.

I took the car to a friends place last night who is an engineer for Ford, and he said the smell was electrical in nature, like a wire was burning somewhere. We popped the hood and the smell was awful. Felt like it was coming from the right side of the engine. Turning on the engine with the hood up produced more of the smell, and the air filter smelled like it roasted in burning plastic (no doubt from the smell being created in the engine compartment.

We'll see what the dealer has to say later today. Thanks all!

Use the air conditioner with the temperature **** turned to the position you feel confortable with. The AC will lower the humidity and the reheated air will make it confortable and allow for greater moisture removal - the reason why the AC is linked to the defrost position in the car.
