I'm Addicted
Hey all, I'm a brand spanking new member and damn proud owner of a silver 2007 gt mustang. I've never owned a car like this before, and I want to say its addictive as hell. I've had it for 2 weeks, and every single night I'm lured by the siren call to go for a "drive". In the same time period i've hand washed and waxed it no less than 5 times.
I've started reading this forum religiously, and though i've never been much of a muscle-head, I'm finding myself spouting off technical jargon and researching things like gear ratios, optimum shift points, and the definition/composition of octane.
Whats my point? A year ago I couldn't have cared any less about cars in general. Now I noticed every half-decent car on the road and get glass eyed to read some of knowledgable posts on here. This car has changed more than the daily wheeling to work (i'm excited to jump in it and begin my day), its changed my perceptions and my attitude. In short, this thing is crack on wheels and I somehow doubt my life will ever again be the same.
Now I must gaze wistfully out my window at her until lunch time...

Welcome - I was the same way. I have had 3 Mustangs in 2 years after driving a jeep wrangler for 11 years. Got a new red 2004 GT vert. Loved the new style and traded it for a 2006 GT coupe (black/Black). Bought a Mazda MX-5 (miata) for about 2 months (wanted a vert again but couldn't afford the Mustang vert and then traded FINALLY for a 2006 silver GT premium vert 5-speed. The black coupe was beautiful but a real PITA to keep clean. Silver is great.
Welcome again - we should start a siver mustang thread!
