no throttle lag, no tune

I'm talking flywheel horsepower, not wheel horsepower...hence why there is no w in front of the hp and tq :-) Those are stock stats...
And yeah, I really need to look at getting a tune if it's that big of a difference...perhaps it's not that noticeable on manual transmissions??

I don't think you notice it as much with the manual trans cars. But, yes, after the tune you notice the lack thereof!
(And imyy4u, no way is a "bone stock" GT manual pulling 300 HP. 265 HP at the wheels is about right. Def get a CAI / Tune and you'll be pulling closer to the magic 300. It's night and day).

My '06 GT has a little throttle lag and sometimes needs to be coax'ed to shift (it's an AUTO), but my real lag gripe is when letting off the gas - this car has NO compression braking and will idle the car at 50 mph for some distance. Kinda stupid in terms of functionality to save some on the emissions side. I'd be more interested if a "tune" eliminates this.

The throttle lag on my car is horrible. Once every few weeks I have to reload my Brenspeed 93 tune because the throttle lag keeps coming back.

Noticed no one mentioned this- Who's driving around at 3600 rpms in First? Throttle lag usually comes in at cruising speeds in TOP gear! When the engine is usually closer to 2000 rpm you punch it at the computer gets confused and won't let the tranny shift (if auto) or won't kick in the fuel injectors, in manual.
I'd like ot see a comparison between the 2 trannys as I'd expect a ton more delay with the Auto.

Hi guys,
I've been eyeballing the CAI and tune from Brenspeed as well. I've got an 2006 auto V6. I'd probably run the 87 tune.
Someone mentioned that they actually had improved gas mileage from the tune. Has anyone else experience this? I kind of expected it would decrease my gas mileage a bit. Does it hurt or help? If so, by how much? What's been everyone's experience?
Thanks!
