RE: Visual mod ideas to make my car stand out
Get a tint for starters. That's the first mod I've done to the car (got it done yesterday). 35% all-around is what I went for. You'd be amazed at how different the car looks with just that. Also, I'd love to be able to wash and wax and detail my car properly, but alas...winter time near Ottawa...
I think that other things might be interesting...like swapping the GT emblems on the fenders for the 281 ones that some of the folks have on here. My dad wants me to install a "Police interceptor" emblem on the back end of the car...not sure if that'd be dumb or not (be gimmicky-cool for a few days anyways...lol).
Chin spoilers look nice with the stock bumpers, and I also like the smaller ducktail spoiler that some people have, compared to the pedestal one that comes with the car stock.
Also, if your car is Tungsten Grey, then I'd go with dark charcoal or black stripe kits on the car...saw 05's with that setup, as well as black with grey stripes...looked nice...
Hope this helps...

I like the GT emblem embroidered into the headrests; that looks sharp. Wonder how it'd look on my cloth seats...Maybe I'll just do some neoprene seat covers for the car with a logo on the headrest.
I was definitely thinking about the stripes, and maybe doing something like a retro-mod look, like maybe a black "Boss" logo along the bottom of the doors or something like that.
I'm also thinking of a light tinting to the windows (state law is something like 15% tint, and cops here are always looking for something to harass modders about, so no darker than that) to give it a slight difference in appearance. I HAVE seen a couple of people who have had designs tinted into their windows, like flames, or skulls...I was thinking of maybe doing the Mustang logo like that as well, provided it's not an arm and a leg for a pro to do that...
