I've just ordered a Mustang GT Conv with the factory navigation system and saw an earlier post saying the factory system does not have the "DVD play" function. Just wondering if that is correct. Also, if anyone has a model number for the nav system that would be awesome. Thx

yeah the ford nav is def not a dvd player. and it said earlier in this thread that its screen was 6.5 and it def looks smaller. i have a kenwood ddx6019 w/ a 6.95 screen and its way bigger.

ok ive tryed to upload pics but it said "there was an error uploading files to the disk" anyone know what that means. anyways i have upclose pics of my kenwood here. the bad thing is that i lost some watts b/c original shaker 500 had 500 watts and kenwod ddx6019 only has like 240 or something. but it sounds way better and can play dvds while im driving. and someone asked earlier if theres an aftermarket headunit w/ a cd changer, well, there isnt, but you can easily buy a cd changer and mount it under a sear or in ur trunk.

The shakers watts are not measrured the same. Your Kenwood should be putting out more watts than the shaker HU and sound tons better.

You ahve 500 watts of PEAK power maybe....But the kenwood will measure the watts in RMS which is the number that matters. If you look at the back of the stock speakers they are rated at like 25 watts i think and there are 4 of those and the subs are 50 or so maybe so that is like 200ish RMS I would guess. It was a long time ago when I replaced them. The "500"or "1000" is a marketing plow basically.

I just ordered the new Kenwood DNX7100. IMO just as good as the Pioneer Avic Z1/Z2. I was able to get it for a very good price too which is why I got it. Just my .02 though... good luck
