Should I restore factory tune before Sirius install?

Should I restore factory tune before Sirius install?
Car is due to get satellite radio installed on Friday and this evening I had a disturbing thought: Will battery disconnection or any kind of audio/electrical system-related work flash the car and invalidate my tuner?
The tuner manufacturer's documentation warns against having scheduled service done on the car with an aftermarket tune loaded; if a Ford tech installs an updated factory tune it will lock out my tuner and prevent the subsequent reloading of the performance file. Obviously the audio shop is not going to reflash the car with a new tuner file but is there any risk here?

No disconnecting the battery will not mess up your tune. But if you go back to the dealer loading the factory tune back in it is a good idea, unless they are cool with it and you let them know.

You are correct in yourpost. If you are going to the dealer they might upgrade your computer which would then render your tuner useless. Either let them know you have it tuned or return it to stock. If you are going to a installer besides the dealer then I would not worry about it at all.

anytime your car is in the shop, they hook it up and perform any software/firmware updates that are needed or released, always flash back to stock and unlock the tuner, that way in the worst of cases you can just have the tuner reset to your new id
