What is the CS models you guys have been talking about?
I've always seen lots of people mentioning "GT/CS" when they talk about the Mustang GT. What is CS?
I'm thinking of getting the Mustang GT premium. Does the leather seats come standard?

CS=California Special.
CS=California Special.
This is what it sayson my sticker under OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
GT California special 1,895.00
235/50/ZR18 Tire
Frt Floor mats mustang logo
Calfornia special tape strip
18" polished aluminum wheel
Bright rolled exhaust tips
Satin black tape stripe
Pony center cap
It doesn't say anything about the different chin spoiler, rear bumper, or the addition of side scoops. Of coarse the dealer tricked mine out a little. They took off the side strips, and added the racing stripes, along with the 20's.

Yeah it's a great package of otherwise separate interior/exterior upgrades to the Premium model like 18" wheels, passenger electric set controls, high-end interior/exterior,some badging and completely ornamental side vents /hood scoop.
Oh, and it's available across the country so I do not believe any special CA emissions compromises have been built in. However, it's not performance-tuned and like any Mustangyou have to mod itif you want it to go really fast.
I love mine. Pic attached.

Lots of California-specific models have their power reduced to compile their strict emission. So what's so special about the CS? Is that 2007 models?

Not sure on any power reduction but I know CA and the rest of those gay green states have special emmissions crap..
I would never buy one.. One of the main reasons why I have moved back to FL is ZERO inspections and no income tax is nice as well

Calif. Special is just a name. They aren't detuned!
They have 7 special factory upgrades which might make the car more unique in the future. I'm still trying to figure out if the 2-tone seats can be ordered with a regular GT with the Sport Appearance Package or the GT package.
