why would the driveshaft effect "revving" speed? the driveshaft spins with the rear wheels.

It might effect throttle response in gear or when the clutch is engaged.......but revving is has got to do with the pressure plate (or torque converter) on forward.....

Of course it would not, but an aluminum flywheel would.

Any big reason why you went carbon fiber over aluminum ?

That will be one of my later mods, hopefully by then, they'll be cheaper. Also the aluminum flywheel and better clutch. I wonder what kind of numbers it will give you on the dyno, 15 does seem high but you did decrease some parasitic lost by doing the swap.

Well, call it overkill, but mostly because of the 1000 HP rating. (not that I'll ever come close). I believe it is the lightest one out there too. Also, if it ever DOES blow up it will pretty much just shatter and not cause the severe damage that metal Drive Shafts cause.

You Suck! J/K No but really, I suck cause I can't afford one right now. That is a really nice piece though.

I just had a new driveshaft installed. The BMR Carbon Fiber. Less than half the weight of the stock DS. There is a very noticeable increase in throttle response now. Can't wait to put it on the dyno and check the HP against what it was a few months back after the S/C install. I doubt the claim of a 15 HP increase but I'm sure there will be a little bump. Oh well, if there isn't a HP increase at least I won't have to worry about a DS failure since it's rated up to 1000 HP.
