MAC AXEL BACK WITH WHICH MID PIPE?????
Hey guys I did a pretty extensive search to see if I could answer my question there but couldnt... I've just ordered the MAC axel backs and am now looking to accompany it with the proper o/r midpipe... In the previous posts I've seen tons of people recommending the o/r X pipe for performance and drone reasons... Personally im not looking to pick up any marginal h.p with exhaust mods nor am I worried about drone, what I am looking to estabolish is that Deep, Agressive Growl!! From the research I've done I've found that x pipes will give you a more raspy, high pitched, tinny sound.. Also since Mac specializes in H pipes and prochambers that all the more made me stop in my tracks... Will an o/r H suit my desires or does the X still give you the deeper roar???
offroad H pipe definetly; otherwise you'll get a metallic sounding thing at certain RPMS thats, a little irritating. sounds great otherwise, but just at certain RPM its a little weird.

Hey thanks so much for the feedback! The clip was great too!! I agree with you, I think the x pipe is not so much my playing ground.. I cant see why so0oOo many guys were swearing by them in this post I dug up from way back when.. btw was that clip of ur stang? And if so whats mods were on it in the vid?
Even though I have an off-road x...slp doesn't offer and offroad h, but i would've def. done the off-road h...for the deeper growl and sound....good luck with yourchoice though.
The Mac prochamber sounds great. If you need a great price, please email us with a part # at sales@fasttoys.net. We give discounts to Mustang Forum members.
