Default DSS racing or Sean Hyland or...

Hi guys,
so I thought about upgrading my engine before going FI.
Which would be best for an 06 mustanggt auto???

DSS Racing:
SUPERMOD SHORT BLOCK Includes Level 10 Race Prepping of your block PRO-X Forged pistons,1.5 1.5 3mm SS50 U Molly rings with Tri Metal bearings, 4340 Forged H-beam rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts, Forged steel 8 bolt crankshaft. Rotating assembly is balanced to Racing tolerances. Bearing clearances are set and the short block is Professionally assembled in our climate controlled clean room. Includes FREE upgrade to ARP main studs and D.S.S. Main support System.

4.6 Liter
$3999.95

Stroker 5.0 Liter $4749.95

Sean Hyland Motorsport:
new iron block shortblock assembly with forged steel crankshaft, Manley forged H beam rods, Manley Forged pistons, ARP main studs, FM bearings, Moly rings, new oil pump and pick-up tube, precision machined, electronically balanced and assembled by our craftsmen.

$3695 Standard stroke
$4195300cu in stroker

I do not plan on having more than 500-550 rwhp. but i want to make sure the engine will be as reliable as possible. considering it would be an investment over 12k for the engine upgrade and supercharger/turbocharger.

An alternative would be the gt supercar engine modified by JDM for 05-07 mustangs. I have no price on that...still waiting for them to reply to my email.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Both of those guys have great products the only thing I can say that might help is that I have read many complaints online aboutSHM's customer service.Ihave aBennett and they make a great product as well but they take forever togetit done. I don'tthink that should be a something you should be concerned about though because it is winter now andthatequates toracing off season. Which means all engine builders will take forever to deliverdue to high demand.

Hope this helps and one last thing ifI were to do it all over again I wouldgo with more displacement.Spend the extra $forthe 5 liter

Check out P.E.R. if you are in Illinois. They do notbuild engines via they assembly line process as DSS does. Not to say thatis necessarily bad, but I prefer my engine to be custom built for me.P.E.R is about the same in terms of cost as well. Their 05 GT was in the 10's before they switched to a pushrod engine.
