Default RE: Opinion for Headlight bulbs wanted.

ORIGINAL: Scotte28516

I just swapped out my projector beams for a set of Saleen HID's, and am glad I did. Installation was a major PITA, but well worth it. I've never had brighter lights on anything, plus the project light farther up the road. The highbeams(not available with the aftermarket HID kits) project more like off road lights. It's insane how far they light up, and brighten everything. Money well spent!
Was it seriously that much of a pain? I'd heard it was a true "Plug n' Play", and that there was no rewiring or anything that had to be done, like adding ballast resistors or anything like that. I'd be guessing that the hardest part would be getting the old headlight brackets out and putting the new ones in.

I'm going to stick with the Silverstars for right now, because $800 is more than I have to drop for the Saleen ones, and I'd rather throw the money at the PJ Suspension kit for my Mustang instead.
