I am thinking about getting some ASA rims but are they good?. I want the black AR1 in "20" I mean they are only priced at like 159 each which isn't that much. I like how they look and i want to get some rims. What do you guys think about ASA? (Yes, i want some black rims) Please help me if you can and anyone who has ASA rims, some pics would be helpful

 

When it comes to wheels it's purely a styling preference so get what you want. I have not found a consistent relationship betweeen "quality" and price when it comes to wheels. It seems of you have a fancy name or the name of someone famous behind your product (eg. Foose, Saleen etc)you can charge whatever you want regardless if the quality is better or not. I picked up my aluminum Shelby Razors for less than $200 each and i like them better than any $800 rim I've sen so far.

These are the rims, i like that kind of style black wit the mach lip silver and all. I was going to get some breyton ones i liked but those are mostly for BMW's and these ASA's are cheaper, They are only 159, i want to get some rims like this but i dont want people to say those are cheap rims. So what you guys think about these?

 

i was told that ASA is a cheaper knock-off of BBS. that is what discount tire told me when i was buying my rims. they said that the ASA's and BBS basically have the same design of rims but the BBS are a lot better quality and weigh quite a bit less than ASA. the near-same design in BBS goes for about $500/rim...i just looked it up on tire rack. i do like those rims though. they are the ones i was looking at first but i wanted them in chrome...i ended up getting my FR500's cause they look alike and are made by Ford Racing

 

Ya i heard that ASA is a lower brand of BBS, like i would get some BBS but they dont have any that are like that, none black wit a silver mach lip. They only got chrome or like this greyish color. Do you guys kno any other brands that make a rim like that or should i jsut go with the ASA's? I like that design but i dont want people to say i got crappy rims..... opinions please?

 

take a look at my FR500's...they are basically the same and i know you can get them in black. if you dont want to pay the $400/rim like i did, then go pick up some cobra emblemed knock-off's for about $150/rim.

 

Well if anyone can find me some rims that are better quality then these ASA's and look similar, please show me some pics or give me a link. If u think my car will look ok, with these then tell me about it. I have a silver 07 GT that is going to get black stripes soon so i want some black rims similar to these or these.
