Yeah I moved from an Explorer to a GT. Needless to say, as if switching to a manual wasn't enough, switching to a V-8 also haha. You'll get used to driving and shifting without hearing it. And if not, well...put a louder exhaust on it so you can still hear with music [8D]hahaha

I learned on a Porsche 911 Turbo when I was 14 so when I got around to my own car, it was really easy. You will get better over time, and stalling, it happens to everyone. I don't want to tell you how many times I stalled the porsche and I still stall the stang once in a while.

I learned to drive a stick on a GT too, and it just takes time like anything else.
Kinda off topic, but could you guys imagine trying to learn drive a stick in the streets of San Fransisco? HAHAHA I had enough trouble on flat roads to begin with, and even now I still get a little nervous if i'm on a really steep hill.

Mustangman Everytime I see your sig pic I always get a laugh outta the fish bag by the rear wheel.
I find myself sometime cruising at a higher rpm than for normal driving, say 3-3500rpms going along the road.
Then I happen to look at the tach and go, oops, I guess I could shift now.

Ive been driving a stick since 14 yrs old (32 yrs old now) and all I can say is practice, practice, practice! Time will make you better and smoother shifting and soon you will better know how the car drives, what it likes and what it doesn't. I underestimated the need for gas when first bought and stalled in first but you learn by mistakes and go from there. Later J
