I did my mirrors and the window trim. EASY! just sand with 220, 400, +/- 800. sand until the dimples are gone then get them painted. looks a whole lot cleaner.

Done right, no fear of chipping. 99% of late model cars have plastic painted mirrors and OE paint isn't anymore durable than aftermarket. Course if a stone flies up and hits it, it will chip as will any painted surface of your car; though not that much debris except the real fine stuff hitting your windshield is up that high; this will generally just dull the clear coat over time and it can simply be buffed back out.

I like the look of the Windveil blue mirrors. Did you paint your factory ones or did you put one of those covers over them??

I painted mine and do not regret it. It really adds a touch of high end class instead of cheap plastic. I had a Kia and the mirror came painted from the factory and this was a base option car with no extras. Personally I wish Ford would paint all mirrors from the factory....it just looks so much better! J- I am at work but I think there are some pics in the gallery! J
