big down payment
Would a $10,000 plus down payment get you a better deal on a factory-ordered mustang gt just like I want it, or does this only help slightly with in-stock cars. I don't mind waiting until 2008 to save up some more dough if it gets me a better deal. Toughts?
You are better off getting one off the lot with cash then ordering. Look for a gt that you want at a ford and then walk in and try to buy it. You have the cash and you are in control. If they want to sell the car then they will take the cash. You can always walk out. Remember the cost is about 16500 for them to buy a GT so that should help you with pricing. Rember knowing is half the battle. GIJOOOOEEEEE sorry flash back.

I put down $12,500, my payments are $300/month for 60 months. My GT is pretty much fully loaded, except for the Shaker1000 and satellite radio. I bought it with Ford A-plan though.
Take the cash with you in a duffle bag or something and let them see the green with their own eyes and just smile while they start kissing your azz.
Nothing gives a salesman an atittude adjustment like seeing a large amount of cash.
Oh yeah, just make sure you take some protection with you to guard all that loot. [sm=shootshoot.gif]
