( I posted this in the new mmember forum as well, but I'm buying in a few hours and wanted to get this out to as many as I could) I'm buying a Shelby GT tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone know the current premium dealers are tacking on for it. This is not for the GT 500, just the regular Shelby GT (325 HP)? I haven't found any others to compare this dealers "premium" mark up. They "offered" me $4000 over sticker. Sound right?
All depends on the demand and supply in your area. When people were complaining they couldn't find an 05 GT in their area and dealers were marking up like crazy, I drove by dealerships here in AZ that had them lined up ready to roll and in some cases, on sale.

How much does it cost to have the suprcharger installed? Will the stcok GT/CS with the FRPP handle the load of the supercharger? (torque, etc.)

42k for a nameplate is ridiculous. Thats almost the price of the gt500, which you should get instead. Y not just look for a sticker priced GT500?

The dealership herehas a black GTShelby in the showroom, and in good 'ol
"Kiss My A$$" black and white, they have it jacked another 10k over the Shelby invoice.
I hate to say it but I hope it sits there,
What a joke.................

I said it was almost the price of a gt500. The prices on the GT500sare dropping slowly but they are still going down.

Not to argue, but I am sure its still not close. just checked the dealership and they said there asking 76k for the shelby they have now...Close how? 42k --76k...34k is a big gap, heck I could buy a GT and mod the crap out of it and still by you all guys a tank of gas

*sigh*.... base price of a GT500 is what I was reffering too.

I agree on just grabbing up a GT and modding it.

So 4k over base sounds real good relatively speaking. Their GT500 is selling for 66k right now. BTW, I've decided!!!!...to buy the GT/CS. I plan to buy the FRHP and FRPP as well. I got an awesome deal. The dealer is still trying to figure out what to do with my trade. It shouldn't take three days. Anyway, I take delivery of it tomorrow. Blk w/ blk/parchment. Polished aluminum 18's. Having the rear spoiler removed. Me no likes. The responses on this forum were overwhelming against getting the Shelby and in favor of modding the GT/CS. I'll post delivery pics when I get them. I can't thank you guys enough for the help. This is my first American car purchase ever. I am extremely overwhelmed at the upgrade/mod options. I'll have you guys walk me through each step and document it all.
