Help on purchase STAT!!
( I posted this in the new mmember forum as well, but I'm buying in a few hours and wanted to get this out to as many as I could) I'm buying a Shelby GT tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone know the current premium dealers are tacking on for it. This is not for the GT 500, just the regular Shelby GT (325 HP)? I haven't found any others to compare this dealers "premium" mark up. They "offered" me $4000 over sticker. Sound right?

IMO for $1200 you'd get to 325+ whp, and no it's not a ford but are you gonna baby it for your collection? Honestly I'm on my 5th stang and my eyes are on the new mach I's when they come out [8D].... My point being is it cool to say I have a shelby GT or I have a 450+whp mustang S/C'd GT (with all the money you saved on markups)

I agree with all you guys.
but I disagree, sometimes having that name is the reason you buy (saleen,roush,shelby etc)
I paid about 47k for a brand new N/A saleen, could I both a gt and clone like the saleen for less.........YES......would it be a saleen......NO
At the end of the day, I never dog anyone for paying over sticker for a car that is produced in low volume.
IMO.... I may have a Saleen N/A (for now) and some guy pulls up in a 05 Gt with a S/C.......but iMO I still have a saleen and I think my car looks better than yours lol
