Moleskins

RE: Moleskins
Alot of tints have lifetime warranty. I got mine replaced for free, just went in and told them that it must have been defective tint and they did it under waranty. I made sure to install moleskin before I used the window again though.
Or if you think that they wont replace it for free cause of scratching. Since your gonna redo it anyways try to peel a little bit off the bottom of the window and say its coming loose. If they dont replace it cause of that worse case is you pay for replacment.
But tint is cheap for these people and most offer lifetime warranty.

Hey guys, just ordered a set of moleskins, hopefully it will be here by the weekend for install.
Has anyone heard anything negative about them? any experience installing them, etc?
I have already read a write-up by TacoBill, seems like it might take a few hours.
Basically, is it worth the 35 bucks (shipped)?
PS- i have not tinted my car yet, i will install these, and then get my tints done.

hmmm. would a good strategy be to have your windows tinted and wait until they get scratched. Then take the car back to get re-tinted under warranty. Then install the moleskin. Many places still don't know that moleskin should be installed first!
If you ever accidentally scratch your tint you could just remove the moleskin, let the car scratch your window again and see if they'll still cover it! LOL
