60' 2.069
330' 5.815
1/8 8.893
mph 80.18
1000' 11.505
1/4 13.675
mph 106.05
Now am I just shifting to slowly or spinning on my 2 and 3 shifts? Or maybe your calculations are off.

Say you sixty a 2.2 and the next run you sixty 2.0, your car will pick up 4 tenths of a second, every tenth of a second lowered on the sixty will more than likely double at the big end.
FOR EXAMPLE
2.2 sixty foot at 106= 13.40
2.0 sixty foot at 106=13.0
1.8-1.7 sixty foot at 106=12.60's-12.80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: friend says i can't run 12's in the 1/4 mile
guys, let me give you some tips. my car is 100% stock, and i can run a 13.4, so i think i know what i'm talking about...
step one, get slicks, but if you don't want to, raise your front tire pressure to 40psi and lower your rear tire pressure to around 20-23psi. take all unnecessary **** out of your car, spare tire, subs, etc. anything that you can easily remove. then, when you stage, don't stage deep!! roll up just so the light flickers...trust me on this one!!! the time doesn't start until you break the beam, and if you stage deep, the timer starts early (bad!). also, with street tires, avoid the water, and either do a light burnout, or none at all. with slicks, roast the crap outta them!!! finally, concentrate on the launch...the 60' is the most important part of the race.
if you have a 5spd, raise the rpms up to 4k (street tires) or 6k (slicks). with street tires you might have to feather it a bit, but with slicks you can sidestep the clutch and you'll hook (unless you have **** loads of power). after you launch, keep the wheel straight, and always shift at redline...never before! try to ride out 3rd gear through the 1/4, but if you're fast, you'll have to shift to 4th and finish the way God intends :-)
good luck!

Would driving 35 miles one way to the track wear out a set of drag radials really fast? Top speed would be 65-70, no highway miles.

Why is your 1/8 mile trap speed only 80mph, but you 1/4 mile traps are 106 plus. My 1/8mile traps speeds are 84.3mph and 1/4 mile traps are 106.5mph. I think you're problem is a combo of slow shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 and also you maybe short shifting each gear at to low of a rpm. Try 6400-6500rpm shift points and shift as quickly as possible on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift points

What was your 60ft on your 13.4 run?
If I launch at 4k, i'd go through a clutch at ever test and tune! I'd have to feather it for sure.
