Default Seatback release ****

Hello all,

I just purchased a 2006 Silver V6. I traded my 91 Corvette in for it and LOVE my new Mustang. I have been lurking here learing all that I can on my new car.

The Mustang was a rental return car and seems to be in great condition. After reading the owners manual, I noticed that the seatback release ***** were missing. I called my local dealership and they told me that the only thing availible was the whole seatback release kit; cable, latch and ****. I don't need that much, just the *****. Any advice on finding just the *****? Are there any other Ford models that use the same or simular ***** that I could use? I did a search and could not find anything of use.

Thanks for the help.

James

Thats funny....I bought my car used too. It was a few months old and both of those ***** were missing also.

They replaced them under warranty in about 5 minutes, and said nothing about more parts or whatever being needed.

Where are the seat *****? I seriously don't know/don't need to know I guess. I've had my GT for a month now and never even thought about flopping the seat backs forward ! I'm 6'4" tall, the only use the rear seats have in my life is to catch the laptop I throw in the car occasionally

Seems a waste of those nice snug Leather seats though.......

Maybe you could rent one just like it for a day and get all the parts you need at once........

Take it to the dealership. If you have less than 36K miles, you are still under warranty.
