chipped rim
I have the 17" charcoal (or anthracite) cast aluminum wheels on my '06 GT and found a chip on the spoke. It's about the size of a pinky fingernail, and 1/8" deep. It sticks out due to the color of the wheel, is there any sort of repair that will look good and last? I'll be able to post some pics tomorrow, but here's a pic of the base wheel.

RE: chipped rim
My 18" Polished alumunum wheel has a couple of chips on it as well, they can be repaired and re cleared but I am not sure about the durability?? I have seen some peel![sm=boosign.gif]

RE: chipped rim
Thanks for the info. What do you think it would run to fix them? Might just break down and buy a couple of rims I've found on ebay. Takeoffs from new GT's and a pretty reasonable price.

RE: chipped rim
My wife took out a curb when the car was about two months old... Tire n Rim............... The cost to fix it at the wheel shop was stupid... So I ended up getting a tear of for about $140 rim n tire from Diversified Marketing............. Changed the center cap, 6 minutes later it looked great...
