07 Vert coming in soon, new wheels?
Ordered a 2007 Torch Red GT PremiumVert a few weeks ago (IUP, Prem. Trim, Red Interior, Anti-Theft, Side Airbags, Nav, Sirius, Comfort Group). It should be coming in within the next 2 weeks. I already got the shorty antenna, billet e-brake handle, and an American Flag airbrushed pony emblem.
My first mod after I get the car will be a new set of wheels. I'm not sure when, but I want to stick with 17". In your opinions, what are the best set to get? I am not a big fan of chrome, but willing to consider anything.Love the Shelby GT500 ones, but not sure if they make them in 17". Thanks for any suggestions.
By the way, you guys on this forum kick *ss and helped me convince myself to go for a new stang.I am amazedat how beautiful your cars are. Awesome work! I used to own a 2000 V6 (I never considered it to bea "real" Mustang, but it was my first car andI loved it dearly), and I have been lusting over the 2005+ models since they came out. So, thank you guys in advance, and also thanks for putting up with the long read.

I can go forever. Good luck.

Grats on the new stang! Wheels are pretty subjective, but I'm glad to see someone else going for 17's. I must be too old or something, but I can't understand this whole gigantic 20"+ wheel "thing" the past few years, lol.

1. Welcome!
2. Watch out adding alot of interior chrome/polished dressup items you don't want alot of glare.
3. If you aren't going up in size, why are you getting new wheels? Are you going to try to reuse the factory rubber?
I have found that the main reasons people buy new wheels are forBling/Baddass, and larger contact patch tires. Iwould recomendrolling your factory setup for a few months, and seehow you like thefactory setup, and what you wantto improve.
Good Luck!
again Welcome.

Thanks for the advice again everyone. I will probably roll with the17" Bright Machined Cast Aluminum for a while and see how the ride/look is. The sites you guys gave are all excellent, and I'll have plenty to choose from once I make up my mind. As for sticking with 17", I always felt that the ride was better than that of a car with larger rims. It may not be true with the stang, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. Thanks again.
