Hi all...

I just bought a 2007 Mustang 2 weeks ago and the second day after driving it off the lot the airbag light has decided to stay on whenever it feels like it. Brought it to the dealer twice and they're not getting any codes off it when running it through the computer. Anyone run into this problem? I went for about 4 days without it coming on and just today it came back on again. I know it's the driver's side because when I open the door and get out the light goes off (figured that much out this afternoon). I'm guessing a faulty sensor in the seat?

Nope. At first I thought the CD case I had on the seat just after it started happening was the cause so since then I've kept everything off of the passenger's side.

 

How much do you weigh? If you are under a certain weight the system will deactivate.

 

Which indicator, the one in the cluster or the one in the center of the dash?

Watch the indicator when you start the car and see if it flashes any codes. Mine came on after a couple of months and it turned out to be the passenger seat airbag. It was flashing a code 23 four times at startup, then the light would come on solid. Airbag replaced under warranty. Problem solved.

It's the indicator in the center. I was told by the dealer to bring it by the next time it comes on and to stay in the car so it stays on and then they're going to hook it up to the computer to see what codes come up.

 

I did there was a short in the wiring and they gave me a new seat. If you search you can find my thread
