I'll look when i go home to see which fuse I tapped into..... It may have been the ignition fuse, but I will confirm. I would advise leaving some extra wire bundled up in the little access panel in the dash to that if you want to move it, you don't need to redo the wiring.

I tapped into the accessory wire for the stereo so it turns on with the car. Also added an amplified speaker for it inside the console. Then I drilled into a dummy plug and put the volume/mute control. in it

put it up by the mirror and run it down to the fuse pannel, find a fuse that is only active when the car is on

My stang came stock with this stupid triangle tint stuff up at the mirror... I think all new stangs might, but I dunno. Either way, a detector would be useless up there. Darn because that would be perfect.

I have a Valentine 1 and recently hardwired it in. I will post pics a little later today, but it was MUCH MUCH easier than I thought it would be.
