What's the point of knowing if you've been hit with laser? Once you're hit, you're a goner anyway. *shrug*
Good question, but not entirely accurate!

These ZR3 wereclose to$700 4 years ago! And YES its one of the few itemsthat actually works against laser! Feel free to do some research and read reviews! (and not from Escorts site)How bad do you feel you need to protect yourself?

That's not quite accurate about being screwed if you're hit by laser. I have a Valentine 1, and I've been warned so many times to slow down after a laser incident because the cop was scanning someone in front of me, and the laser beams bounced off them and hit the valentine 1. It happens all the time. Now, if I were the first to be scanned, I would be screwed, but half the battle is knowing where they are using laser. Usually a motor cycle cop under an overpass downtown in a city.

Interesting... I'll have to look into those laser jammers...

So where can I get one of those fuse tappers at? I'd just like to plug-in to an open fuse slot in my passenger kick panel.

What ever happened to the radar detectors with the receivers on the front & rear bumpers, and the display in the cockpit?

This needs to be qualified... RADAR jammers don't work at all... LASER jammers can be very effective... This is basically beacause radar frequencys are goverened by the FCC who are EXTREMELY strict about what can and can't be transmitted legally. I'm sure you've all seen the lables attached to most consumer electronics devices that says they 'can not cause any intereference with other devices and must accept all interference from other devices'. Lasers however are controlled by the FDA who don't force near as many rules as the FCC. Most laser jammers (or 'shifters') need to have the emitters mounted on or near the license plates to be fully effective however. This makes installations expensive.
