so i popped the hood after a drive last week and found that the cap near the front of the engine (maybe radiator?) was letting fluid out. the dried liquid leaves a white residue around the cap. i brought it to the dealer and they said its normal and its just gonna happen. well today after a drive i popped it open again and the cap is.....spewing. the fluid was flowing pretty well

im not sure this should be happening

any ideas?



EDIT it was a faulty overflow cap

 

Do you have a picture of this cap? What was your engine temp. reading? Anything spewing is not normal.

If I'm looking at it right, it's coming out the radiator overflow reservoir?
That's most certainly not 'normal'.
