That sucks dude!I'm 16 too... that happend to me a month or so ago... my car didn't even have 1000 miles on it... some old lady rear ended me at a stop light. Her car was totaled and smoking... I only got a few scratches and my exhaust fell off... I'm tellin' you man these cars are strong!

And yeah don't accept used parts on an '07... My parents made double sure everything was brand new from Ford.

Man, I'm glad you're ok. It's not easy to go through this, I know.
I had a similar situation on March 15th, some woman in a Ford Explorer made a turn right in front of me and I t-boned her.
Totaled her car, mine was an 07 Grabber Orange GT only a week old with 240 miles on it.
It took $16,000 and 8 weeks to repair. New frame rails, all new front end, hood everything.
All OEM parts. This is your right. the for dealer will void any warranty on any replaced parts if they are not OEM.
The engine and tranny were ok. I went through my collision but since she was 100% at fault, her insurance picked up the damage. I'm now fighting them to cover the balance of my car rental for 2 months, about $1200. They claim that they wont pay for every day the car sat waiting for parts or not being worked on. They said it should only take 3 weeks to do those repairs. Bull***t.
I'm also filing a diminished value claim with they said there is no such thing, which is more BS. Since they were 100% at fault I have the right to file a third party diminished value claim and you should also. You have to prove the loss in value.
You can do this by getting a letter from the dealer on the fair market value of the car if it had not been in an accident. After your car is repaired, hire a professional licensed appraiser/inspector. They will give you the current fair market value. The difference between the 2 is the diminished vale and is what they owe you.
Best advice is document everything. Send a letter to the insurance company and keep a copy. Send it return receipt requested and get a delivery confirmation. If you tell them you are going to do something then do it. Keep a written record of every phone call, when you called, who you talked to and the result. Don't yell at them, curse them out even if you are pi**ed. Don't give up until you are 100% satisified with the repairs and you have no out of pocket expenses.
My car turned out looking pretty good. A few minor things that I will get fixed but all in all a good job.
Sorry to vent, I'm still ticked off. So don't settle for anything less than perfect and hang in there if things don't go right. It will pay off in the end.

a week after i got my factory ordered 08 car, it was in an accident. insurance tried to tell me they would repair certain components, which i would not stand for. i fought them for a week, and went 4 levels above my claims rep. i told them the car was one week old. i will fight it for as long as possible, and you'll be paying for storage until you just give in. so they did. my bodyshop helped me too. (concise auto sports.... long island mustangs (listangs.com) sponsor...hes the freakin man)
FIGHT THAT CRAP. you tell them I PAY THE BILL. MY CAR GETS FIXED ON MY DAMN TERMS.
only thing that scared me about cervinis hood is its fiberglass. fiberglass SUCKS. chips way too easy. pain in the *** to fit properly too. dont put fiberglass on ANYTHING but a show car only!!

I hate when I'm turning left and I'm in the middle of the intersection and people continue to go through the yellow/red light[:@]That pisses me off more then anything that happens on the road. Sorry to hear about your car.
