i dont see why it makes the other persons insurance go up though...if it wasnt their fault...i know it happens though just dont know why
Because the insurance companies are "son's of beeeeches"!!!! That's why! Money grubbing, filthy, son's of beeeeeeches!
That is putting it nicely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow... whats with the poor VBs getting hit? Really stinks dude, good luck getting everything sorted out.

And Stowe, everytime I see your sig I start to like that Torch more and more... but I really do miss that VB you had, looked amazing.

That is f*cked up. But I could see something like this go ugly in the long run. Why? Ya'll run a yellow light, and ya'll know yellow is the next best thing to red. It's actually considered a red light more than it is a green light. But under normal circumstances you'd be okay, since he has to yield to you.

You being 16 most likely does have something to do with this accident. You'll learn to pay attention to green lights, and be prepared to stop. And yes, do sue the other guy for diminished value of your car. Also, I'd opt to get a new GT asap. I would not want to drive around in a car that has been hit like that, since your frame won't hold up the same way in another accident.
actually i was at the stopline (going around 20) when the light turned yellowso i had no choice but to go on thru...which is what the yellow light is ment for...if you cant get stopped in time you are not running a red light...but if you can get stopped dont go thru

and the 16 part has nothing to do with it...even a 40 y/o person couldnt have avoided it...cars were on the side of me so i couldnt have swerved or it would have been my fault if i would have hit the other cars...

comment wasnt needed about being 16 and i could have avoided it if i stopped...

Ya know, Im beginning to wonder about the VB too!!! Such a gorgeous color but seems to be an "unlucky" color too!!! Like I said, I think people are just drawn to it, its what they do when they get near it, that hurts!!! lol

Nope, wouldnt total it, imagine that! The total amount of damages was "only" just over $9K which in insurance laws, does not equal 50% or more of the retail value of the car (horses**t). So, we contacted a salvage broker; sold the car "wrecked" for $15K (without ALL my mods, including wheels/tires); took my $9K damage check; took my bulls**t $1289 diminished value check and me and hubby's "personal injury/pain & suffering checks" (just over $4500) and got the hell out from under my beautiful VB stang which was now a big pile of s**t!!!

One tip for you..............dont settle on your "pain and suffering claim" until the insurance company makes a DV offer. If that offer is crap then guess what, that pain and suffering just got more painful and your suffering just increased too!!!! If your car is less than a year old, dont let the insurance company screw you out of the value of your "new" car!!!! Like I told those smucks...................I didnt ask your client to ram his front bumper straight up my ***!!!!!(sorry, I get pissed just thinking about it, need to go do some yoga now! lol)

You can only say how thingshappened from your perspective. Statistics show that young drivers make dumb ****-ups. Not saying that you did, but you have the statistics against you. Now you wheren't at fault, but you might have been able to avoid it if you looked a little further and saw the other dumbass race towards you. Don't worry, you'll learn to anticipate the more you drive. And sometimes even get a sixth sense when it comes to people that will end up in your lane without warning by just looking at their cars.
