I was looking for a solution to my garage opener, where did you get it? How hard was the install?

Mark

its the homelink control that comes in the sunvisor of a Lincoln Town Car, I removed the unit which is self contained and installed it in the roof console
in my mustang. easy to install, only 2 wires which i spliced into the wires that were already there for the lamps, hardest part was cutting the hole for the buttons, as far as cost goes it was free, I work for a Lincoln dealership and this was a warrantied part out of a town car, the visor had a tear in it so we warrantied the part and I was able to get the visor which I disassembled and installed in my car.

Fantastic!!! So simple -- makes you wonder whyFord hasn't offered this optionon the Mustang! It looks as if the colors are a perfect match. Is that the case -- both are Charcoal? If so, I'll be hitting the salvage yards once I get my Mustang!! GREAT IDEA!!!

yea, both are charcoal, it matches perfectly, but any color will work because you can pull the face plate off and paint it to match.

I don't have this, but for some reason had bookmarked it some time back. Interesting solution.....
