Well... so much for my plan to not buy aftermarket projector/HIDs and just wait for the 2008 parts to come out. Nevermind then!

The problem with getting an aftermarket HID system to go along with your stock head lamp housingsis that the bulb remains completely bare. This makes it look like you are High Beaming whether or not you point them downward. I get highbeamed at least 5 times every time I drive at night.

I've been told bysome older family members how painful and DANGEROUS it is for them when having to drive in the opposite direction of very bright headlights (people who leave their highbeams on). Younger folks don't have to worry so much as their eyes can adjust quicker (they still get pissed though), but the elderly sometimes lose sense of where they are on the road.

This realization has prompted me to order Saleens' HID headlamp housings(2 for about $900).

It's expensive, but a small cost to keep people from ending up in a ditch.

05 and 06 housings have black reflector shield mounted in front of the bulb. That should help block some glare. I have 2 sets of 06 housings if anyone needs them. I need to get thee GT500 headlight buckets to retrofit my headlights.
