Wow, this is more difficult than I thought.

Any pointers? I thought I'd only have to drill new holes in the lip spoiler, but do I have to drill into the GT bumper?

And how does thing line up? That fat piece of plastic that goes along the top is.... really fat.

I've read you guys talking about it on here but actually seeing it is much more confusing...

 

The GT500 lip isnt designed to bolt onto a GT bumper. It is designed to fit on a GT500 bumper. Two totally different bumpers. The guys who put them on had to make them fit and there is even a thread stating that it doesnt fit that great on a GT bumper without major modification...

 

Yes I know... I'm just looking for some pointers.

I 'held it up' with jacks tonight, and it actually looked fitting quite nicely... Hopefully the modding and mounting go as well.

 

partsbill seems to have put it on the cleanest way I have seen so far. im sure if you pm him hell help out. i have spoken to him a couple of times and he is a real class act, very nice guy. bradbarnett.net forum has some links and write ups on it as well. its possible but not that easy. good luck

 

PartsBills instructions are pretty good. I did mine and altogether it took about 8 hours. I am planning on putting together my walkthrough but if you'd like me to send pics of the major steps PM me. Mine took longer because I painted mine to match but dont start wantonly drilling holes without PM'ing me or PartsBill. He helped me get mine installed and was really cool about it.
