Well it's to be used to change the tire, not lift the whole side of the car. Anyway Ford isn't as **** about bending sheet metal as some of the owners here, so they didn't consider that when designing the car.

ORIGINAL: wingman75

I have read from others that they have bent the sheet metal in these areas.

nicely done, i like the way you do the front
end......on the differential, i use a small block of
wood so nothing can touch and damage the cover

ORIGINAL: Mean Yellow

Since my car has been lowered by 1 inch, first I use the stock jack from the side and raise the car about 2 or 3 inches then with floor jack in the center of the front crossmember under the engine I raise the front until the jack stands can clear the crossmember and put them at the end (it is a perfect fit) for the back I use the differential housing to pick the car up and then put the jack stands under axle tubes near the wheels. Just did it last year for storage and last week to paint the calipers. I hope this helps!!

My car is lowered 1.5 inches and I have to drive up on 4 2x10's in order to get the jack under the engine crossmember. I can still reach the diff without the boards.
