CAI install question
I recently purchaced a JLT cai, and SCT from Brenspeed. Do the custom tunes come already loaded on the tuner, or does it need to be loaded to the tuner from the provided disc? Or is the disc just a back up?

RE: CAI install question
David,
Plug the SCT X-Cal 2 into the OBD II Port which is below the driver side dash(steering column) and scroll down from the main menu and download the tune to your PCM. It's very basic once you plug it in, it will erase the stock calibration after you select the new one and then it will automatically load the new tune on as well.
Good luck, hope to see you come by the shop soon.
Edit: You only have to download the tune onto the tuner if it is not already supplied on the handheld device. When you get your tuner from Brenspeed it will already be pre-programmed and you just have to follow the steps I listed above.
You may download a custom tune file that you order online or an updated file that is sent to you through SCT Livelink 3 which is an .ll3 file and is basically done by following the software information on the SCT website. You will need the USB cable in order to link your X-Cal 2 to your computer and download an updated tune onto your device.
