i asked the same question to several people in the forum and other mech. and all of them said not worth wasting your money on a tb less alone a tb spacer (i was wondering about the tb spacer)

I also read from many people that a bigger throttle body isn't worth it and that you will probably run into problems unless you get a dyno tune, as in on a dyno.

Throttle body spacers are useless.

All of you are correct....the only TB that is actually worth it would be the GT500 TB since it does not have the problems with the gearing or whatever that the aftermarket ones have. If you have some higher HP mods (cams, LTs or FI) you will probably see some nice gains with a TB though.

Howarmat said it right. It's not worth it on a lightly modded motor. Waste of money.

I have the twin 62 BBK TB and I can tell a big difference and have had no problemsand didnt need to change tune or anything. The biggest difference is that it makes it have a lot quicker response. The downside I hadis it takes a little more getting use to because I had my car dialed pretty good on the lights and after the throttle body it responded so much quicker that I started red lighting, but after a few more trips to the track I love it. From my experience it is a mod well worth the cash

Definitely don't buy any of the aftermarket throttle bodies. They are basically paperweights. The Gt500 TB is the way to go. Here's a more detailed explanation about what howarmat said regarding the gears in the gt500 throttle body: The GT500 TB is the only throttle body on the market that uses the stock plastic gears. All the aftermarket ones have heavier gears. If you buy an aftermarket TB,when the gears turn, the PCM will think there is a load on the throttle body, which will instantly throw the code. The GT500 TB wont.
