The mount is the standard 1/4" stud used in just about all camcorders and cameras.

On my burnout vid, I used my Canon digital camera in video mode. Some shots were done using only 1 suction cup, worked fine because the camera's pretty light.

Wasn't difficult at all to get that shot. All I did was mount my digital camera as far down as possible on the door, still able to reach the shutter button, set it on manual exposure (I'm pretty sure it was around 3-5 seconds open), flash off, and set the self-timer (mine was set at 3 seconds). As your cruising, reach down and click the button, easy. [8D]

You need theself timer so you don't disturb the camera when depressing the shutter button.
Of course, if you have a fancy DSLR with a remote shutter release, you can do it that way instead.

I experimented with different exposure times. You'll just have to experiment with it to see what turns out the best.

Here's some more pics..

Funny, I was using Pinnacle Studio 9. It's fine for what it can do. But, like you, I wanted to step it up.

I went with Sony Vegas 7 Platinum Ed. It's strictly a video editing program, doesn't have a DVD burning engine. Sony's burning program is called Architect 4.0. Both have a free 30 day download trial, can't beat that! It's a bit more complicated than Pinnacle, but then again, this is one notch above Studio 9/10 enrty level program.
