Default Shaker 500 questions

I bought a Shaker 500 head unit 2 years ago to replace the stock radioand am happy with it. I have added a sub woofer/amp in the trunk. I was wondering, how manywatts is the head unit itself? I would guess at least 200? I plan to put in a power antenna before too long and does anyone know what wire on the head unit (if it has one) is for a power antenna? Thanks

Default RE: Shaker 500 questions

The HU might put out 200 but I doubt it. The back of the speakers read 25 W.....which aint a whole lot at all. The 500 and 1000 are just marketing schemes and do not mean 500 watts or 1000 watts. If they do then it is peak not RMS so the numbers dont mean squat anyway. The HU really are bad. If you want better sound get a better HU.
